Why I Prefer Simplicity

I used to work with WordPress — amazing software, no doubt — but I always felt it was a bit bloated with plugins. The learning curve got steep, and I often found myself managing plugins more than creating content. 🤔 That’s when I realized I prefer simple, lightweight solutions. With this static site, there’s no database to worry about — it’s fast, efficient, and streamlined, which suits me perfectly. 🚀

Behind the Site

This site is powered by Jekyll, a static site generator that works wonderfully with Liquid templating. It allows me to dynamically generate content and customize the layout without the overhead of traditional CMS platforms. Plus, everything on this site is written in Markdown, making it super easy to manage and update.

Fun fact: the people behind my home automation software, Home Assistant also use Jekyll for their site! 🌟
